Suzuki launches mass segment bike
Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SMIPL) has made its first foray into the mass motorcycles segment with the launch of Hayate, a 110-cc bike.
This is company's fifth product specially designed and made for India, and Mr Anand Singh Thakur, National Head, Sales, SMIPL, said that the company plans to be present in all segments of the two-wheeler market by 2014.
Hayate is a 4-stroke bike with a 112-cc engine and comes in two versions — kick start and automatic start — at an introductory price of Rs 40,162 and Rs 42,162, respectively.
SMIPL also announced that actor Salman Khan will be its brand ambassador .
